(4 out of 5) My First Pistol
by from Portlandville, NY on

After getting my pistol/CCW permit in the totalitarian state of NY, I decided my first pistol would be a pistol for conceal carry. I would've loved to get a 9mm pistol that can hold over 10 rounds, but I am limited to 10 rounds thanks to our glorious ruler Andrew Cuomo. Thus, I decided that if I couldn't have quantity, then I should go for quality regarding bullet caliber so I decided to go with the bigger .45acp instead of a 9mm. I also decided to get a gun that can be very easily concealed and is reliable. This gun is tiny and powerful. I never even shot a hand gun before because our glorious ruler Andrew Cuomo decided it would be best to ban anyone from possessing a handgun unless its registered to them, regardless of weather or not they have a pistol permit. That being said, I expected a lot of recoil since it was a .45, but there wasn't much recoil to be honest compared to what I was expecting. I shot about 80 rounds I know its not much, but I didn't want to waste too much ammo in one day out of it for the first time in my mothers backyard while visiting her last weekend, and it shot perfectly. No malfunctions, jams, miss feeds, or anything. There are two downsides to this gun. 1. The grip is extremely short when using the six round mag that comes with it and is mildly uncomfortable to hold due to to the grips small length. However, I expected this, and I do not consider this a downside because the short grip makes it a little bit more concealable which is what I wanted and why I bought it. Also, it comes with an extra mag that holds seven rounds that extends the grip to a very comfortable length. 2. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it has a long trigger pull. I didn't want to buy a gun with a competition trigger, but damn it's a long trigger pull. I understand this is a safety measure or maybe just a design flaw, what do I know, but it's kind of annoying and not needed considering it already has a safety on the trigger and back of the grip. In the end, this is a great gun and I am glad I bought it. I am confident this gun will reliably go pew pew if my life is ever in immediate danger.
