My newly acquired Super Redhawk is pretty much the twin piece to my currently owned GP100, and this revolver was suggested to me by one of my Aussie friends who used to hunt wild hogs with this exact model. Not to mention, I prefer Ruger revolvers when it comes to .357/.44 Magnum calibers due to how super durable they are at handling higher-pressured loads that would normally damage or destroy others in the same category.
So with that said, it’s another great product from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore, and I’d definitely buy from them again! The processing could be a tiny bit faster, but the customer service is pretty good as well.
I purchased this pistol for my wife, but once it arrived, I felt a bit jealous. The gun is almost perfect, in my opinion. The gold barrel is beautiful and easy to clean. The slide is easy to manipulate, and the recoil impulse is minimal. I would recommend this pistol to anyone looking for something easy to handle, but it's a great all-around piece for anyone. Great job, Ruger!!
Great caliber with lots of ammo choices. Small, light, and very maneuverable in tight spaces for hunting. And magazine fed with magazines available greater than 3 rounds. What more need I say about this sub-moa rifle? Great buy!
Very nice pistol.
Good size and feel. Feeds all ammo I've put through. Very accurate out of the box. Conceals easily and has a 12-round magazine.
Plus, it's optic ready and easy to mount. Con: Trigger is my least favorite part of this pistol. They should have made it a flat trigger. I only had issues when wearing gloves and getting my finger to press the safety correctly. Without gloves, never had an issue.
I have owned this rifle for a few years now and have put a couple of thousand rounds through it. It has always performed great and will shoot whatever brand of ammunition I load into it.
An excellent rifle for a very good price!!
I haven’t made it to the range yet, so my assessment is based on
handling at home, disassembling/reassembling, and dry firing. It
functions well, feels balanced in hand, and looks fantastic with the
long barrel. The only change I plan to make is replacing the magazine
disconnect with the Tandemkross “Blast” item. The trigger is fine as is,
and it’s clear it will smooth out over time with use; an “Accurizing”
kit feels completely unnecessary.
