The SIG MPX: Modularity in a Compact Package

The Sig Sauer MPX is more than just a sub gun. It's a platform designed to have the adaptability to meet the needs of any shooter. Whether it's for security, home defense, or just recreational shooting, the MPX can be customized for your use case. This level of modularity has led to it being frequently compared to AR-15 pistols, which are equally famous for their customization potential.

Like other Sig Sauer firearms, it's incredibly reliable. These guns were built to last, giving you reliable performance for years. If anything does break, the SIG MPX can be easily disassembled, allowing owners to swap the broken part with a brand new one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the effective range of the Sig Sauer MPX?

The effective range of the short-barreled MPX is around 25 yards, and it is incredibly accurate at that range. Some shooters have even pushed it to 40 yards and still gotten great accuracy. Its accuracy can be improved by adding a stabilizing brace or stock to reduce recoil.

Is the SIG MPX a short-barreled rifle?

The short answer: It depends. For example, without a brace and a sub-6" barrel length, it is considered a pistol and does not need to be registered as a short-barreled rifle (SBR). With a brace and the same barrel length, it would be considered an SBR. A long 16" barrel can also be added to make it a pistol caliber carbine (PCC).

Be sure to research the most current state and federal laws related to short-barreled rifles before making a purchase.

What ammo does the MPX use?

All of our MPX guns use 9mm ammo. However, the second-generation MPX can be converted to either .357 SIG or 40 S&W.
