This rifle is just a basic rifle. You can do better. The proprietary magazine is weak and to modify the rifle to take a better set up costs almost as much as the rifle. When I purchased mine it supposedly came with a cheek rest/buttstock pouch that Ruger said wasn't valid.

The bolt is not as smooth as advertised and using a bench rest, fusion ammo and a Vortex 3.5 - 10 x 50 could not bring in a group tighter than 2 at 100 yds. Anything you want to do with this rifle will cost you almost as much as the rifle itself. If you want anything that this rifle does not already have then look around before purchasing. I am very unhappy with mind and no one wants to buy it. I actually feel stuck with a gun and I am a firearms enthusiast and normally a Ruger fan.
