The Heritage is Dan Wesson's entry-level 1911, allowing shooters to experience Dan Wesson quality at the most affordable price possible. Even though this model is their most economical, it features all the same quality components they use in their 1911 models.
A Government-size model, it has a 5-inch barrel and is chambered in .45 ACP. The slide features our Clark-style rib and wears a tritium front sight and plain black, snag-free rear. The sides of the slide have a nice brushed polish on the flats while the rounds are sandblasted to match the matte forged frame with undercut trigger guard and smooth front strap. Grips are double diamond rubber.
The Heritage is a great introduction to the Dan Wesson 1911 experience and they are confident it will become an heirloom, handed down from generation to generation.

- Fixed Rear Sight - A clean and crisp Novak-style snag-free sight.
- Mainspring Housing Checkering - Dan Wesson's 25 LPI checkering on the flat mainspring housing provides the means for a superb grip.
- Smooth Frontstrap - Sometimes less is more, the lack of checkering on this frontstrap highlights the smooth stainless frame.
- Square Butt Profile - The standard square butt profile for those who prefer a traditional look.
- Tactical Hammer - The skeletonized hammer helps to reduce weight and maintains the clean look of the pistol.
- Top Rib - A Clark-style rib on the top of the slide helps knock down glare.
- Traditional Cut - The traditional cut keeps the lines of the traditional 1911 slide with a dustcover swoop.
