(5 out of 5) Beautiful and Solid
by from Henderson, NC on

I love this revolver; it is absolutely beautiful and feels very solid in my hand. It feels precise and shoots like a dream. I will be ordering another one to match this one.

(5 out of 5) Haven’t shot it yet.
by from Philadelphia, PA on

So, I’ve had this thing for like 5 months now. And still haven’t gotten it to the range. Which is why I put the 0 for performance. As soon as I do shoot it tho, I’ll let you know. It feels good in your hand, definitely has that cowboy feel to it. Only thing I wish it did was halfcock so you could spin the chamber. Feels well made, easy to disassemble, hammer was a little hard to pull back at first. But it’s pretty broken in, cause all I do is dry fire it. Trigger feels good out of the box tho. Recommend if you don’t wanna spend crazy money on a colt replica, or a colt, just cause you wanna go to the range and shoot a cowboy gun.

(5 out of 5) Outstanding Value
by from Williamsfield, IL on

All top ratings for this little revolver! For what it is, what you get...for what it costs...for how it preforms...I found this to be an outstanding preforming revolver, especially for the couple hundred dollars invested. After a 500 round diet, I broke it down and preformed only a light smoothing buff polish to the mechanism.
Back to my range, the revolvers iron sights were regulated with specific ammo, to hit point of aim at 10 yards- as this little Ruger is intended to live out its years as a trapping pack gun. All in all, my son wants this one to run his lines with...guess I'm up for another, but what color this time?!

(5 out of 5) Great buy!
by from Linwood, NC on

Bought this for my grandson, and he loves it. He has fired 500+ rounds through it in less than a month, and has probably dry fired it twice that many times. Any slight roughness in the trigger is long gone already. It shoots well and is pretty darn accurate.
I've long been a Ruger fan, have several revolvers, rifles, and an over/under shotgun - - all are top quality. But this Wrangler exceeded my expectations because of the price point.. At $199.00, this is a great gun! Solidly built, safe for a youngster, and appears to be very reliable. Highly recommend.

(5 out of 5) Well worth the wait!
by from Leesville, SC on

I really wanted the Wrangler in black so I pre-ordered it on 04/29. Saw it become available on other sites occasionally for a lot higher price and was almost tempted to get it earlier but you can't beat Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore for a credit card purchase/shipped price. My Wrangler was finally shipped on 06/14, picked it up a few days later at my FFL. It was definitely worth the wait. The gun looks fantastic and is a great little plinker, shoots accurately with no problems.

The only complaint is what most reviews mention, the loading gate is really stiff and hard on the thumb. It’s gotten a little better after breaking it in, but is nowhere as easy to open as Ruger’s Single Six. At the price point and the quality of the Wrangler, Ruger has a hit! Look out Heritage, there’s a new boy in town.
