This pistol shoots great and feels good in your hand and is a very nice compact. I ran 50 rounds through it with no problems.
Just ordered your Stoeger Compact Striker-Fired 9mm so please let me know when the extra magazines will be available. Need more mags. than just one to participate in any qualification course. After qualification, Ill give you a thorough review of this pistol.
Recently purchased the STR-9 Compact. You cant beat this pistol for the money! The backstrap is a little rough after a bunch of rounds, but a little sandpaper smooths it out enough. 75 rounds with zero issues! Accurate, concealable, and very inexpensive...what else do we need? FYI, since others have mentioned magazine availability, if you go to ShopStoeger.com, you can buy them direct for $35 ea. I ordered two from them and had them within four days.
As a new firearm owner I read a variety of reviews of a quality budget-friendly firearms. Decided on the Stoeger Str 9. Very pleased with the quality and performance. I run 200 rounds of Federal American Eagle 124-gr and not one problem. She has quite a bit of weight to her. It was hard to find extra magazines a couple of months ago but am finding more now. Finding a holster for her is challenging.
I bought my STR-9 because it was inexpensive. I had read good things about Turkish-made firearms, so I decided to give them a tryout. I was not disappointed! Fit and finish are excellent! The gun operated without incident with both FMJ and HP ammunition in 115 and 124 grain bullet weights. My only complaint is that my gun came with only 1 proprietary magazine. Additional mags can be bought from Stoeger, but are a bit expensive ($35 for hi-caps). However, you cannot beat the price for this well-made Turk. I like it so much, I bought the STR-C 9mm compact. Get one before the price goes up! PS - I did read that Stoeger in now including a 2nd mag with recently made guns.
This is an awesome gun for the money I paid, I dont mean I think if would be better if it cost more, this is a great gun that fires very accurate.
I have owned this gun for 3 years, and it has not had one hiccup, FTF, FTE in almost 1,000 rounds. Great gun, but after market magazines are totally unavailable.
I own the full-size 9, one of the best handguns I own. Easily the best-priced 9 you'll find in terms of quality and performance. If you're reading this right now, I recommend that you click buy.
