The Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion.
The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates 38 Special cartridges.

After years of waiting, Colt has reintroduced the iconic 2.5 Python!!! Crisp action, perfect balance... I prefer this over the 3. Looks and feels better to me. Action so crisp & smooth, it's like butter. Wood service grips are gorgeous, and feel nice in the hand. Amazing job, Colt! Well done!!! Wanting a 2.5 Python since the early 90s, I just bought a brace of these beautiful little 2.5 Pythons, one for CCW, and one as a safe queen! One is great, two is even better! To Colt executives`;` the only thing that would be an improvement on this would be the 2.5 in that vintage Colt Royal BLUE!!! Other than that, what is not to love This revolver is perfect! THANK YOU COLT!!!
